Sparknotes version of my life (because who wants to read a novel about my life?):- I was born in New Jersey in the early 90's and I still reside here.
- I have a younger brother and older sister who I run and workout with.
- I married my high school sweetheart of 9+ years on August 9, 2019!
- I graduated from Millersville University with my degrees in early childhood and special education in May 2017.
- I teach first grade special education but have also taught middle school special education.
- When I am not at work or running, you can find me binge watching TV shows on Netflix or reading thriller novels.
- My favorite TV show is Grey's Anatomy. I've watched the complete series twice.
- I have a slight obsession with penguins and the color purple.
- My husband and I have two adorable cats named Dexter and Jax {Jackson}. Dexter is named after the serial killer TV show and Jax is named after Jackson Avery on Grey's.
- I'm the proud auntie of two precious nephews, Tommy and Joey.
Sparknotes version of my running life:
- My running journey began in May 2013.
- The first race I ever ran was a 5k.
- The longest distance I have run is a marathon.
- I can't decide if my favorite distance is the half marathon or the marathon. I just really love the long runs during training.
- I run about 15-20 miles a week on average.
- My current shoe I run in are the Brooks Ghost 12.
- My ideal weather for a run is slightly chilly because I get warm super quickly.
- To go along with my ideal weather for a run, my ideal outfit for a run is shorts and a tank top. I will wear even for chilly runs because I get so darn hot.
- I track my runs on my Garmin Forerunner 230 and I am obsessed with checking my stats on the Garmin Connect app.
- My go to fuel for a run is gummy bears and Campfire S'mores Gu.
- I am an ambssador for Nuun and ROADiD.
- I tend to run the same routes over and over again. Since moving in September 2019, I have made it a goal of mine to explore all of the neighborhoods and trails nearby and so far I am doing great with that.
