Coastal Delaware Marathon Training Week 9

Happy Monday! I’m checking in early today after a nice weekend away with John’s family. Due to being away, I moved my long run to this morning since I have off. That is why last week’s mileage is on the lower side. I’m off to run 15 miles! I hope you all have a great day, especially if you’re off for Presidents Day!

Monday: 3 miles

Tuesday: REST

Wednesday: 3 miles + strength training

Thursday: REST

Friday: REST

Saturday: 3 miles

Sunday: 2.5 miles

Weekly Total: 11.5 miles

Question of the Day: What is one fun thing you did over the weekend?

  1. A nice little cut back week of training which is good.

One fun thing from this weekend was that Alex and I went out to dinner last night! We haven't in a while so it was nice to go out.

I just finished Dexter and honestly I'm mad at the ending lol. I totally thought they'd be together.

    1. The cutback week definitely helped me feel good during my 15 miler yesterday!

Going out to dinner is always nice! It's a nice change of scenery after cooking at home every other night.

I have the same opinion about the ending! Well, first I was just happy they had an ending to the series and didn't just stop randomly like some series do. But I was not happy with the direction they took it in. We finished Dexter a few years ago and are still mad about it haha.

    2. Yes! Half the time when we go out, I feel like it's because we're bored with food at home. Although I did try a new to us recipe yesterday that was a big hit which is great.

I agree that it was nice it actually ended the series instead of just a random stopping point. Someone in a Facebook group I'm in said they thought it should've ended when Rita died since the rest of it wasn't as good which I didn't understand at the time. But now I get why the person said that. So annoyed!! Now I need a new Netflix show that is for the couch instead of the treadmill lol

    3. I never thought of them stopping it when Rita died but that may have been a better stopping point! We are currently watching The Ranch which is kind of funny. That might be a better treadmill show, though.

  3. As stated by Stanford Medical, It's in fact the ONLY reason women in this country get to live 10 years more and weigh an average of 19 KG lighter than us.

(And by the way, it has NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret exercise and really, EVERYTHING around "how" they eat.)

P.S, I said "HOW", and not "WHAT"...
